Installing on your website
First, in the Share tab, turn on Public access and copy the Chat bubble code. It's one line that looks like this:
<script src="https://buildagent.atensorlab.com/widget.js" data-agent="ag_..." async></script>
Paste it once so it loads on every page, just before the closing </body> tag. Then open your site in a private
browser window and ask a question to check it works.
WordPress
- Easiest: install a header-and-footer code plugin such as WPCode (Plugins → Add New). Open its Header & Footer settings, paste the code into the Footer box, and save.
- Or, in a classic theme: Appearance → Theme File Editor → footer.php, paste just before
</body>, and update. A plugin is safer because theme updates can overwrite theme files. - If you use a caching plugin, clear its cache afterwards.
Shopify
Online Store → Themes → on your current theme click … → Edit code → open layout/theme.liquid →
paste the code just before </body> → Save.
Wix
Settings → Custom code (under Advanced) → Add custom code → paste the code, choose All pages, place it in Body - end → Apply. Wix requires a premium plan with a connected domain for custom code.
Squarespace
Open Code Injection (under Settings → Advanced, or Website Tools, depending on your Squarespace version) → paste the code into the Footer box → Save. Code injection needs a Squarespace plan that includes it.
Webflow
Site settings → Custom code → paste into Footer code → Save, then publish the site. Custom code needs a paid site plan.
Custom websites and other builders
Paste the code into your HTML template just before </body>, or into the builder's "custom code", "footer code"
or "tracking code" setting for all pages.
Inline chat instead of a bubble
In the Share tab, choose Inline and copy the iframe code. Paste it into the page where the chat should appear (e.g. a Help or Contact page), using your builder's "HTML" or "Embed code" block.
No code at all
Use the share link (a full-page chat) in emails, social posts and help articles, or print the QR code on posters, menus or packaging.
Try it before installing
In the Share tab under Test on your website, paste the console snippet into your browser's developer console on any website, or drag the bookmark button to your bookmarks bar and click it on any site. The chat appears on that page until you reload; nothing on the site changes.
Restricting where it appears
Under Share → Access & limits, list your domains in Allowed websites (subdomains are included), so other sites can't embed your agent. Leave it empty while testing on other sites. The share link always works.
